Sunfield Sentinel - April 21, 2011


Vermontville, Michigan – Mrs. Sutphen passed away Wednesday April 13, 2011 in 
the early  morning at Pennock Hospital, Hastings, Michigan at the age of 101. 
She was born November 14, 1909 in Lake Odessa, Michigan; daughter of Thomas and 
Anna (Goodemoot) Ainsworth. Ileen enjoyed her grandchildren very much. She 
enjoyed being a home maker and her favorite pastime and hobbies were fishing, 
playing the piano and organ, and spending summers at Saubee Lake. Preceding her 
in death were both her parents, her husband, William T. “Bud” Sutphen, 1 
brother, and 2 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Richard) Hager 
of Sunfield, 3 grandchildren, David, Jodi , Melissa Hager, 6 great 
grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, nieces and nephews. Visitation 
will be 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. – Thursday April 14, 2011 at the Rosier Funeral Home, 
Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield, Michigan. A Grave Side Service will be held 
11:00 A.M. – Friday April 15, 2011 at the Sunfield Cemetery, Sunfield, Michigan 
with the Rev. Jeffrey J. Schrock officiating. Express your thoughts and

by the Independent Family Owned Funeral Home in Sunfield; Rosier Funeral Home.
