He spent several weeks in the University of Michigan hospital this winter and had only returned from there Sunday evening after being there for a week. Born in Vestaburg in 1881, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Casper George Sutton, he lived in that community for many years as a farmer. He later moved to Ionia where he was employed by the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company for about 15 years. He moved to Clarksville this spring where he and Mrs. Sutton took over the management of a restaurant. Surviving are the widow, Delia, one son, LeRoy Sutton, of Ionia, a brother, Ira, of Lansing, and three grandchildren. One son, George, died about eight years ago. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 o’clock under the auspices of the Odd Fellow lodge of which he was a member. Interment will be held at the Vestaburg cemetery.
