The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, April 30, 1937
Ira Swain, 58, died at his home at 533 Baird street early Friday morning.  
Until forced by ill health to give up work he was employed in factory work 
having been with the Ypsilanti Reed for several years.

Survivors are two nephews, Lewis Swain, of Ionia, and Delbert Swain of Ionia; 
one niece, Bernice Swain, also of Ionia.

Funeral arrangements are not completed.

Subsequent Publication:  Saturday, May 1, 1937

Funeral services for Ira Swain who died at his home on Bayard street will be 
held at 10 o’clock Sunday afternoon from the Bradley funeral home, Rev. Paul 
Stewart officiating.  Interment will be at the Highland Park cemetery.
