The Ionia Daily sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, July 14, 1948

Funeral services for Arthur Swain who died Saturday, July 10, were held 
Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from the Saranac Community church.  The Rev. Wayne 
Davis of the Ionia Church of Christ officiated.  Interment was at the Saranac 
cemetery.

Pall bearers were Arthur Bovee, Maurice Hartwell, Ward Hartwell, Tylee 
Hartwell, Paul Weber and Marquis Otis.  Flowers were in charge of Mrs. John 
Adgate and Mrs. Glen Adgate.

Friends and relatives attending from out of town were Miss Esther Swain of 
Washington, D.S.; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Weber and Paula of Houghton Lake; Mr. and 
Mrs. Arthur Bovee of Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Hartwell, of Frankfurt, 
Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Ward Hartwell and son, Tylee Hartwell, Mr. and Mrs. Marquis 
Otis, Mrs. Nell Otis, Mrs. Edith Otis, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Renshaw, Mr. and Mrs. 
Houghton and Mrs. Stewart all of Detroit; and Thomas Hughes of Houghton Lake.
