William C. Swain, age 84, of Sheridan died Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 
Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital, East Grand Rapids.  Swain was born June 15, 
1923 in Ionia to Lewis C. and Sophie M (Peterson) Swain. He married Mary M. 
(Furman) Swain October 2, 1946 in Ionia.

Mr. Swain has been a resident of the Sheridan area since 1984, formerly of 
Ionia where he retired as a quality control supervisor. He was a US Army 
veteran of World War II, a member of the D.A.V and a life member of the VFW 
Post 5065.

He is survived by his wife Mary; two sons, Dennis (Julie) Swain of Sheridan 
and Donald Swain of Ionia; three step grandchildren; five step great 
grandchildren; one sister, Bernice Swain Rivers of Sheridan and one brother, 
Robert (Bonnie Swain) of Ionia.  He is preceded in death by his parents, one 
sister, Marie Dehn, and one brother, Kenneth Swain.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday, July 28, 
2007 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan, Michigan.
