Swainston, 81, died Wednesday night at the home of his sister, Mrs. Vida Dowd at Grawn. He had been ill three years. Born January 4, 1879 in Kingsley, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Swainston. In 1922 he moved from Kingsley to Lyons where he made his home until two years ago when he moved to Grawn. He is survived by three sons, Carl and Harold of Lyons and Gerald of San Luis Obispo, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, George Swainston of Fruitport, and four sisters, Mrs. Vida Dowd of Grawn, Mrs. Nellie Briggs and Mrs. Cora White of Muskegon and Mrs. Lulu Warren of Los Angeles, Calif. A son, Claude, preceded him in death. The body is at Myers funeral home where arrangements will be announced later. --------------- Funeral service for Lloyd D. Swainston, 81, who died Wednesday night at Grawn, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Myers funeral home. The Rev. Paul Knaak, pastor of the Lincoln Avenue Baptist church, will officiate and interment will be in the family lot at Muir cemetery.
