TERRY SWAINSTON 1950-2017
Terry David Swainston, age 66, of Lyons passed away April 18, 2017. He was 
born June 26, 1950 in Ionia to Harold and Margaret (Chandler) Swainston.

Terry was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, enjoyed politics, and watching 
boxing and football. he also loved to garden, cook, and go out to dinner.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon Jenks; and brother, 
Philip Swainston. He is survived by his wife, Gemma Swainston; children, 
Shannon Swainston, Nicole (Bart) Lower, and Shayne (Robert) Atwood; 
grandchildren, Rory, Ryann, Brooks, and Graham.

The Mass of christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday . April 22, 2017 at 
St. Joseph catholic church, Pewamo, wih Rev. David Kempf presiding. Rite of 
Committal will follow a Oakwood Cemetery, Muir. military graveside Honors 
will be provided by the Ionia VFW. The family will receive friends Friday 6-8 
p.m. at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia and one hour prior to 
the service at the church.
