Ionia Sentiel-Standard - Tues, May 15, 2012

Michael Swan of Ionia, formerly Eaton Rapids, passed away at home May 11, 2012 
at the age of 60.

Michael was born in Lansing on June 11, 1951 the son of Robert and Ruth Mickey 
(Butler) Swan Bull. He spent 30 years on the family farm in Eaton Rapids 
working with his father and grandfather. After their deaths, he was reunited 
with his mother and sister and moved to Belding. Michael suffered many 
illnesses that led him to move to Ionia where he resided at K&G Adult Foster 
Care Home. He loved football and never missed a Michigan game on the radio. 
Michael loved to shop with his best fiend, Ron Blundy. He was a member at the 
First Presbyterian Church in Ionia.

Michael is survived by his mother, Ruth Bull and her companion Wendell 
Bannister of Belding; sister, Lisa (Duane) Creguer of Saranac; many cousins, 
aunts and uncles; special friends and caregiver, Kim Hoffman and George 
Griebel; also many other close friends. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday May 15, 2012 at the First Presbyterian 
Church, 125 E. Main St., Ionia with Pastor John Clifton officiating. Visitation 
will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at 
Rosehill Cemetery in Eaton Rapids at 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be 
made to the church.
