The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, February 22, 1963


Mrs. Mae C. Swank, 89, longtime resident of Portland died Thursday night at 
Booth convalescent home in Portland.  She was born December 23, 1873, the 
daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Benjamin Carpenter.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Truett of Portland; a stepson, Otto 
Swank of West Covina, Calif.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at Neller funeral home in Portland 
with the Rev. Robert Treat officiating.  Burial will be at Portland cemetery.
