Sentinel-Std. - Monday February 4, 1985 

HOLLAND- Emma R. Swanson, 84, formerly of Muir, died Saturday at Blodgett 
Hospital in Grand Rapids.

She was born September 24, 1900, in Ludington, the daughter of James and 
Ella Conrad.

She married Leonard Swanson in September, 1923. He preceded her in death in 
December 1978.

They made their home in Muir for many years. They moved to Holland in 1967.

Her husband was the former Muir Postmaster. She was the organist of Muir 
Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two brothers, Burton Conrad of Flint and Charles Conrad  of 
Holland one sister, Mrs. Helen Russell of Bradenton, Fla.; several nieces 
and nephews.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir 
with Rev. Bettie Dobbie of Muir Presbyterian Church officiating. 

Burial will be in Muir Cemetery.
