The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 17, 1962

Services for Mrs. Jessie May Swarthout, 72, of State road, were held Saturday 
afternoon.  She died Thursday morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital.  
Officiating was the Rev. Ray R. Fassett of Evangelical United Brethren church 
and interment was at Balcom cemetery.

Bearers were David Seidelman, Lawrence Northrup, Richard Northrup and Ralph 
Wilcutt.

Relatives attending from away were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gorsuch, Mrs. Pearl 
Swarthout, Mrs. Merton Swarthout and Bernard Swarthout of Vestaburg; Mr. and 
Mrs. Albert Eggleston of Owosso.
