Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Dec 1938

Carl Swartz, 53, of Hazel Park, Detroit, died Saturday, December 10, at his home
following a heart attack.  Mr. Swartz was born in Fowler and had lived in
Detroit 15 years.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. William Swartz, of Jackson, and a
step-sister, Mrs. Richard Todd, of Jackson, formerly of Ionia.  Mr. Swartz’s
wife was killed on November 11 of this year in an automobile accident.

The body was taken to the George funeral home at Fowler where the funeral will
be held Tuesday afternoon, December 13, at 2 o’clock.  Interment will be made in
Highland Park cemetery at Ionia.
