He had been in failing health for more than a year, having received the best care and attention possible by Mr. and Mrs. Sweet. He was born in Paw Paw in 1874 and came here with his parents about twenty-five years ago. The funeral was held at the house Saturday at one ‘clock in the afternoon. Rev. J. A. Hudnutt officiated, giving an impressive talk. His remains were placed in the old cemetery. He leaves an aged mother and two brothers to mourn his loss – Ezra Sweet of this city and Charles Sweet of Lansing.
