Marcia Louise (Fox) Johnson Sweet went to be with her Lord and all those that 
went before her on Feb. 26, 2021.

Born to Henry and Olive Fox in Ionia on Jan. 24, 1939- both deceased.

She married Ronald L. Johnson on Aug. 17, 1957 - deceased - and they were 
married for 32 years and had six children.

Marcia is survived by her six children - Timothy (Barb) Johnson, Alan (Carrie) 
Johnson, Scott Johnson, Rhonda (Darryl) Coulier, Marica (Michael) Howorth, and 
Shawn (Nancie) Johnson; 20 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; eight great-
great-grandchildren; her loving cat, companion of 24 years - Pig; and many 
nieces and nephew that she was very close to all her life. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouses - Ronald and Richard; 
siblings, Marie Stilwell, Marcella Larson, Julius Fox, Roy Fox and special 
sister, Natalie (Joy) Rarigh; and infant grandson, Andrew Johnson. 

Marcia was a loving and caring person who always put others' needs above her 
won. She was a strong, fiercely independent person who faced many adversities in 
her life, but always persevered because of her love of family and her God. She 
had a great sense of humor and could always find the silver lining in the 
darkest of clouds. She fought a valiant fight against cancer for several years 
and never lost her optimism.

Marcia enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, other family and 
friends, doing beadwork and baking for her family and friends. Baking bread was 
one of her specialties.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Marcia's nephew, Fr. Dennis Stilwell at 
11 a.m., Friday, March 12, 2021, at S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Ionia. 
The family will receive friends and relatives from 10 a.m. until the time of the 
service at the church. Interment will be in Tuttle Cemetery in the spring. 
Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral Homes. Online condolences may be
