July 29, 1925 MRS. M. SWEITZER ANSWERED LAST CALL With the death of Mrs. Michael Sweitzer last Wednesday the grand old couple of Lake Odessa for so many years passed to their well earned reward. Mrs.Sweitzer was a dear Christian old lady and with her husband had been patiently waiting the call of the Master for several years. They were blessed with living a long life and by passing away so near together, the husband dying only a few weeks ago. Mrs. Sweitzer's last out door trip was to the old peoples meeting at the tabernacle close by when she was honored as being one of the three people over ninety years of age. She gave a beautiful testimony that evening and more than one heart was touched by her earnestness. Before the tabernacle meetings closed she was stricken with paralysis from which she died. The funeral was held at the Calvary U.B. Church Saturday, Rev. M. H. Dawson preached and Mr. Bert Holly and Miss Gladys Jordan sang, with Mrs.Lois Giddings at the piano. Besides the daughter, Mrs.Lucinda Ludwig, and the son, Mr and Mrs. Harland Sweitzer and daughter Ruth, two sisters from Ohio were present at the funeral, Mrs. Katherine Sponseller and daughter Mrs.Sight of Bloomville, O. and Mrs.Mary A. Brillhart of Columbus. Mrs. Birney Ludwig, of Albion, a grand-daughter was present also. Many others from Woodland and nearby vicinities were in attendance.
