Portland Observer – Wednesday, 19 April 1905
The remains of Eliza Ann, wife of L. F. Swiler, were brought here for burial 
last Friday night.  Funeral services were conducted from U. B. Church Saturday 
morning.  Deceased was a sister of the late Newt. Whitman and a former 
resident of Eagle, the family being known to many Observer readers.  She was 
64 years of age and died at her home at Altona, Mecosta County.
