George Swiler, 85, retired Portland farmer, died in St. Lawrence Hospital, 
Lansing, Saturday, Feb. 14.  He suffered a broken hip in a fall several weeks 
ago.

Surviving are his wife, Verna Swiler; a son, Earl, of Portland, and a 
daughter, Mrs. Alta Griffin of Lansing.

Funeral services were conducted from the Banfield funeral home Monday 
afternoon.  Rev. George Stanford officiated and burial was in North Eagle 
cemetery.
