Sentinel-Standard - Saturday, Feb. 10, 1945

Mrs. Nelson Swinehart, 58, a resident of Ionia county since , died Saturday 
morning at 6:30 o'clock at her home on North Jefferson street after a year's  
illness.

Bessie Bushee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bushee, was born July 30, 1886 
in Bowens Mill. She was married to Nelson Swinehart and they  moved to Ionia in 
1921. Mrs. Swinehart was a member of the LeValley Methodist church.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Ralph Swinehart of Pontiac and Floyd 
Swinehart of Ionia; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Face of Grand Rapids and Mrs. 
Isabelle James of Ionia; 14 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Hattie Kaylor of 
Hopkins. 

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at the Myers 
funeral home. Burial will be in Tuttle cemetery.
