Jan. 30, 2016 DARLENE KAY "NADEAU" SYDOW Greenville - Darlene Kay (Nadeau) Sydow, age 74, of Orleans, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2016, under the care of Grace Hospice at her daughter's home surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 2, 1941, in Remus, the daughter of Homer E. and Donna M. (Snyder) Nadeau. She was a member of Shiloh Community Church, a 1960 graduate of Greenville High School, member of Exlibris Hospital Guild, former member of the Ionia Country Club, and she loved to garden. Darlene also retired from Ionia Public Schools in 2007, where she was the school secretary at Boyce Elementary for almost 24 years. Jerry and Darlene spent winters in Florida with their closest friends and their summers at their lake house with their children and grandchildren. Darlene's passion was her family. Darlene is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry; son and daughter-in-law Todd and (Shelly) Sydow of Owosso; daughters and son-in-law Deborah and (Brent) Clover of Ada and Tracey Ann Rush of Caledonia; seven grandchildren, Spencer Jackson and Harrison Sydow, Austin and (Alycia) Clover and Payton Clover, Karleigh and Kane Rush; sister and brother-in-law Helen and (Gary) Kern of Greenville, brothers and sister-in-law Jim and (Cathie) Nadeau and Bob and (Diane) Nadeau of Lakeview; sister and brother-in-law Susie and (Gerald) Zahm of Belding; nieces; nephews; cousins; and special friends Bob and Rosalie Wells of Australia. She was preceded in death by her parents, niece Kristy Kern Miller, Nephew Mike Zahm and brother-in-law Thomas Sydow. Members of the family will meet with relatives and friends from 2 to 5 PM Saturday, Jan 30, 2016, at the Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville. Funeral and Committal service will be 2 PM Sunday, Jan 31, 2016, at Shiloh Community Church, with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Memorial contributions can be made in Darlene's name to Grace Hospice or the Humane Society.
