Mr. Sykes was sitting in a chair, when his death occurred. The cause has been given as heart trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Sykes had resided in Easton township for the past eight years. However, Mr. Sykes spent the larger part of his life near Muir. Mr. Sykes at the time of his death was 63 years of age. Mr. Sykes is survived by his widow and one son, Leslie Sykes, who lives on the same farm with his father. He is survived by two brothers, Jack Sykes, of Texas, and William Sykes, of Muir, and two sisters, Mrs. John Kinny, of Ionia, and Mrs. Nell Hines, of California. The funeral service will be held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock, fast time. Burial will take place in the North Plains cemetery.
