She was born June 14, 1861, in New York state, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Scott. Survivors are one son, Roland, of Ann Arbor and two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Dilley of Ionia and Mrs. Sherman Ely of Lansing. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the home with Rev. Paul L. Stewart officiating. Burial will be in the mausoleum at Highland Park cemetery. At the age of five Angela Scott came to Caledonia with her parents. Following her marriage to William Sykes November 21, 1893, she came to Muir, where she resided since then. A member of the Presbyterian church, an honorary member of the Presbyterian Ladies’ Aid society and the Woman’s Library club, Mrs. Sykes gave much of her time and talent to village improvements until failing health prevented her taking an active part. Survivors, besides her two daughters, are four grandchildren, William, Robert and Sarah Sykes and Rolland Ely; one great grandchild, Jerry Harwood; and one brother, William Scott of Caledonia.
