This community was shocked, and saddened to hear of the tragic death of Mrs. 
Helen McVeigh Tabor, a resident of Lansing.  Mrs. Tabor was born near 
Hubbardston, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George McVeigh.  She graduated from 
Hubbardston public school and later taught the intermediate grades.

She married Fred Tabor in 1916.  For the past thirty years they lived in 
Lansing, where they operated a grocery store.  Mrs. Tabor will always be 
remembered for her jovial manner.  Friends extend sympathy to Mr. Tabor.

Friends attending the funeral from Hubbardston were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tabor, 
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tabor, Mrs. James O’Connell, Mrs. Elmer Barrone, and 
Charles Langdon.
