The Ionia Standard, Friday, December 18, 1896
Silas Tabor, an inmate of county house, 62 years old, died on Saturday, of 
apoplexy.  Deceased was for a number of years resident of this city, working 
late years at Montgomery’s livery stable.  He became unable to work last fall, 
and was taken to the County house.  He was buried in the cemetery there.
