Born in the place in which Carson City now stands, February 20, 1854, she was united in marriage to Fred Tabor November 25, 1875, and then removed to the place on which she resided at the time of her death. Her husband departed this life 18 years ago. She was the mother of five children, Roderick and Vinal Tabor, of this place, and Mrs. Florence Passinger, of Pompeii, and Bessie and Freddie, who preceded their mother to the better land. These, with two grandsons, two sisters, three brothers and a large circle of friends mourn the loss of a devoted mother and friend. Mrs. Tabor had been a successful school teacher, and a faithful worker in the North Shade Center and Dobson Sunday schools, and of late had expressed a desire for a church home. Her whole life was given to the service of others; always ready to aid in time of sickness. The funeral services were held at the home Friday morning, conducted by Rev. Golden, of Perrinton, and the Lade Maccabees, of Middleton, of which lodge she was a member. Burial took place in the Hubbardston cemetery. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The family have the sympathy of the entire community.
