Though he had been in delicate health for more than a year, he had not been confined to the bed until last Wednesday. He was an old resident, having been brought to this country when only a year and a half old. He was at one time engaged in the grocery business and was our last republican Postmaster. During all his public and private business transactions in this place he has never been known to do a single dishonest act or to knowingly injure anyone. Kind, gentle, and good. He leaves a spotless reputation and the memory of a life filled only with good deeds. His funeral was held from the Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock, the Rev. Mr. Horner of Battle Creek, conducting the services, assisted by the O. H. Read Post, of which Mr. Tabor was a member. ---- [Transcriber's Note: There is a notation on the obituary card that he was buried in West Side cemetery in Hubbardston.] File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/mi/ionia/obits/t/tabor9860nob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.net/mifiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
