Ionia Standard, 10 Sep 1915

Ferdinand and Robert Tafel were called to Traverse City on Saturday night, 
account of the critical illness of their brother William, who passed away on 
Sunday afternoon.  Deceased was a son of the late John Tafel, but the mother is 
still living and a resident of this city, as is also the wife of deceased.  
Deceased was taken to Traverse City the early part of last summer, and came 
home a few weeks later, apparently improved, but was returned in two weeks, and 
failure was continuous since.  He was aged 38 years.  Funeral service on 
Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m. at the home on Allen street, and at 2:00 o’clock at the 
Lutheran church.  Interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
