The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 24, 1936

Funeral services for Louis Tafel, who died in Detroit Monday, were held Friday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock from the St. Johns Lutheran church, Rev. J. Schroeder, 
of Lansing officiated and interment was in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Relatives and friends ffom out of town attending were Mr. and Mrs. Albert 
Schroeder, of Lansing; Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Mellon, of Detroit; Fred J. Speckin, 
of Lansing and children, Bertha and Hilbert.

Pallbearers were Louis Speckin, Herman Priehs, William Warnke, William Stoll, 
Fred Rubach and John Speckin.
