Tafel, 54, who has been ill for the past few days died Monday noon at the home at 873 North Jefferson street, where she was born April 6, 1887. She was the daughter of Karol and Bertha Stoll Tafel, both of whom were born in Germany and came to this country shortly after they were married and settled in the home on Jefferson street. She attended St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran church school and was a member of the church and the Mission and Charity circle of the church. For some time she had been employed by the Ypsilanti Reed Furniture company. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Otto Ruehs, of Ionia, and a brother, Otto Tafel, of Chicago. Funeral services have not been made.
