The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, June 7, 1927


Mrs. Minnie Tafel died Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Fred J. Speckin in Lansing.  A prayer service will be held at 
the home of Mrs. Speckin Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock and the body will then 
be removed to the home, 647 North Jackson street, here.

Mrs. Tafel is survived by her husband, Louis Tafel, and three children, Mrs. 
Fred J. Speckin, of Lansing; Mrs. Albert Schroader and Mrs. R. A. Malton, of 
Detroit, and two grandchildren, Hertha Speckin, and Albert Speckin, of Lansing.

The funeral service will be held from the home, 647 North Jackson Street, 
Thursday afternoon at 1:30 and at 2 o’clock at the Lutheran church.  Burial 
will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
