She had been in failing health for several years and been ill with a cold only a few days, but death was unexpected by her family. Mrs. Taft was born at Alma on March 17, 1882, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Hall, and moved to Belding 43 years ago, living there continuously ever since that time. She was married to Ollie Taft, June 28, 1906, and he died May 6, 1946. She was a member of the Rebekah lodge and the Neighborhood Club. She leaves one daughter, (Dorothy) Mrs. Glenn Converse of Keene, and one granddaughter, Linda Lee Converse. Funeral services were held in Belding last Friday, Rev. H. S. Ellis officiating, with burial in Oakwood cemetery, Lowell.
