The Ionia Daily Standard, Saturday, November 20, 1909

The death of Mrs. Jane M. Taggart occurred at the home of her son, H. C. 
Taggart at 12:30 Friday afternoon.  Her age was 77 years, and she had been in 
feeble health for two or three years, although critically ill for about four 
weeks.

She  was the daughter of the late Thomas Heald, of Orleans, and was married to 
Henry Taggart in the state of New York, and then came to Ionia county more 
than half a century ago, spending most of their active life on a farm in 
Easton.

They moved to Ionia city about 15 years ago, where Mr. Taggart died two or 
three years later.  The children survive: H. Clinton Taggart, Nettie, the wife 
of J. H. Chrysler, of this city, and Mary Agnes, the wife of W. W. Mills, of 
Chicago.

Funeral services will be held at the home of H. Clinton Taggart, 313 State 
street on Sunday….(illegible)…burial in Easton cemetery.
