Ionia Sentinel Standard - September 4, 1985

                              MILES W. TAIT

MAPLE RAPIDS-Miles W. Tait, 95, formerly of Ewen Street, Maple Rapids, died 
Monday in the Fulton Medical Center.

He was a retired farmer.

He attended the Maple Rapids Congregational Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Dori Foerch of Ovid, Pauline Swatman of Long 
Beach, Calif., and Geraldine D'Amore of Port Richie, Fla., five sons, Willis of 
Remus, Robert of St.Johns, Virgil of Hubbardston, Alfred of Ocala,Fla., and Joy 
of Phoenix, Ariz.

Also surviving are 38 grandchildren and 71 great-grandchildren and a step-
sister.

Funeral services will be held at the Abbot Chapel of the Osgood Funeral Home in 
Maple Rapids Wednesday at 1 pm, with the Rev. James Longhurst officiating.

Burial will be in East Plains Cemetery.
