Ionia Sentinel, 31 Jan 1986

Beryl Marie Talcott, 77, of 3960 Potter’s Road, Ionia, died Wednesday at Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 19, 1908, in Saranac, and graduated from Saranac High 
School.  After graduation, she worked for a time in the offices of Michigan 
Reformatory and then attended Detroit Business University.  She was then 
employed as a secretary by Chrysler Corp. for 29 years, retiring in 1970.

Surviving are four brothers: Herbert Talcott of Saranac, Kenneth Kernen of 
Royal Oak, Fred and Robert Kernen of Ionia; two sisters, Kate Rutz and Joan 
McCord, both of Ionia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the Montgomery-Leddick Funeral Home, 220 
Rich Street, Ionia, Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. F. Michael Valentine 
officiating.  Burial will be in Saranac Cemetery.  The family will be at the 
funeral home Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  A memorial has been 
established for the Michigan Heart Association.
