Mr. Talcott was one of the pioneers of the county coming to Ronald township in 1846. For several years he was secretary of the Farmers' Mutual Fire insurance company. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. A.T. Luther of Rochelle, Ill., where he died, and with whom he made his home for several years; Mrs. Chandler of Rochelle and Mrs. H.H. Goodwin of Boyne CIty. Mrs. Talcott died in 1907. A man of sterling and upright character, his loss will be deeply felt by his many friends in Ionia and Ronald.
