Ionia Sentenel-Standard, MOnday June 12, 1916
The remains of Oscar Talcott were brought here this morning from Rochelle, 
Ill, and taken to Palo for funeral services and burial.  Mr. Talcott was one 
of the pioneers of the county coming to Ronald township in 1846.  For several 
years he was secretary of the Farmers' Mutual Fire insurance company.  He is 
survived by three daughters, Mrs. A.T. Luther of Rochelle, Ill., where he 
died, and with whom he made his home for several years; Mrs. Chandler of 
Rochelle and Mrs. H.H. Goodwin of Boyne CIty.  Mrs. Talcott died in 1907.  A 
man of sterling and upright character, his loss will be deeply felt by his 
many friends in Ionia and Ronald.

Mrs. and Mrs. B.N. Talcott attended the funeral of Oscar Talcott on Monday at 
Palo.  Mr. Talcott was a resident of Ionia county for many years, but passed 
away at the home of this daughter, Mrs Lou Chandler at Rochelle, Ill., 
Saturday, June 10
