Talcott, 83, died at his home in Saranac Thursday very suddenly. He was born August 22, 1863, in Ionia county. Sixty years ago, December 9, he was married to Miss Eda Atwood. The couple went to California where they stayed for five years then moved to Ronald and then to Ionia. In 1902 they moved to Saranac and bought the Kelly Brothers Lumber company. Mr. Talcott built and remodeled 22 homes in Saranac up to the time of his retirement in 1929. He was a member of the village board of trustees for several years and is a member of the F.&A.M. lodge of Saranac. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Rex of Detroit, and Keith of Saranac; a daughter, Mrs. Loreen Hornick, of Detroit; eight grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Funeral service swill be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Morris funeral home with interment at the Saranac cemetery. It will be a Masonic service.
