Talcott, 67, died January 29 at his home in Saranac. He was born January 13, 1892 in Ronald township, Ionia County, son of Herbert N. and Eva M. Talcott. Mr. Talcott was a veteran of World War I and served in France. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and the Masonic lodge at Saranac. He was manager of Marshall-Wright Lumber Co. at Saranac, where he had been employed for about 40 years. Mr. Talcott retired from the Saranac school board last year after serving 30 years. Mr. Talcott is survived by his wife, Gertrude of Saranac; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jean Knop, and Mrs. Patricia Wyman of Saranac, and Mrs. Shirley Swiger of Clarksville; three sons, Charles, William, and David, all of Saranac; nine grandchildren; one nephew, Herbert Talcott of Saranac, and one niece, Miss Byrle Talcott of Detroit. Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Morris funeral home. The Rev. Howard Bull will officiate. Burial will be in Saranac cemetery.
