Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 14 Feb 1908

Marsh Tallant died Feb. 6, 1908, age 63 years, 6 months, 4 days.  He was born
Aug. 2, 1844, the son of Nathaniel and Abbie (Eastman) Tallant.  The funeral was
held at the M.E. church Sunday Feb. 9 at two o'clock.  Rev. Ogg of Lowell
officiated.  The Masons had charge of the funeral attending in a body from
Lowell and Saranac.  Interment at South Boston cemetery.

Lowell Journal, 13 Feb 1908

Marshall B. Tallent died in South Boston last Thursday, Feb. 5.  A Masonic
Burial was held at the South Boston Methodist church Sunday afternoon, Rev. W.
B. Ogg officiating and burial took place in South Boston cemetery.  Marshall B.
Tallent was born Aug. 24, 1845.  From the time he was eight years of age he made
his home with Mr. and Mrs. Horace Robinson in South Boston, excepting a number
of years spent in California.  He leaves one brother Joseph Tallent of South
Boston, two sisters, one living in California and one in Colorado, two nephews
Charles and Guy Tallent, and one niece Lucy Hodges.
