She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul parish, and graduated from the academy in June of 1926. She attended Ionia county normal and taught in Ionia county for two years. She then went to Detroit and attended the Detroit Teachers’ college, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She taught in Detroit schools from 1931 until the Christmas of 1951 when she terminated her work because of her health. Her health had failed constantly since that time. In the summer of 1939 she was married to Larry J. Tansey of Detroit, who survives. Other survivors are one sister, Mrs. C. H. Koerber, 2640 Oatis drive, Toledo, O, and five brothers, D.F. Longe, Daniel R. Longe, Charles E. Longe, and Dr. John Longe, all of Detroit, and William G. Longe of 521 East Main Street. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
