Tasker, 94, of Palo died Wednesday May 31, 1937 at his home. He was born October 14, 1843, the first non-Indian child in the Palo settlement. Mr. Tasker was the son of George D and Catherine VanVleck Tasker who were prominent in the Palo community for many years. On July 24, 1869 Mr. Tasker married Henrietta Howarth who died in 1891. In 1892 Mr. Tasker married Mary Munger in a ceremony performed by Miss Munger's father, Daniel Boardman Munger. He is survived by a son, George at home and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ethel Braman of Palo. Mr. Tasker died in the same house he had occupied for 92 years.
