Mrs. Tasker was postmaster at Palo from 1972 until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of First Bpatist Church, Palo, a life member and past matron of Everygreen Chapter No. 332, Order of the Eastern Star, in Lyons, past president of the Ionia County Association of OES, a member of the Palo Civic Club and Palo Senior Citizens. She was born Sept, 28, 1921 in Ronald Township, the daughter of John and Johanna Speckin Martin. She graduated from Palo High School in 1940 and that same year, married Robert Tasker in Palo. He died in 1972. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Harold Martin, a stepsister, Ruth Van Vleck, and two stepbrothers, Ed and Gene Vos. She is survived by two sons, and a daughter-in-law, Marty, Palo, Bruce and Linda, Carson City; a daughter, Suanne, Palo; three granddaughters, Shelly and her husband Tod LaVictor, Amy Tasker and Tamera Tasker, all of Carson City; two brothers and their wives, Lewis and Gladys Martin, Ionia, Russell and Frieda Martin, Lansing; a stepbrother and his wife, Vern and Aileen Vos, Lyons; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services at First Baptist Church, Palo and burial in Palo Cemetery. Rev Ken Ridge will officiate. Arrangements by Schnepp Funeral Home, Carson City.
