LIFELONG RESIDENT DIES AT HOSPITAL
Frank C. Tasker, one of Lake Odessa's most respected citizens, passed away at the
local hospital Saturday noon following an illness of only a few weeks.  Mr. Tasker was
connected with the dairy industry for many years, here in Lake Odessa, and when the Arctic
company closed their plant here, they transferred Mr. Tasker to Grand Ledge where he has
remained until ill health caused him to return to lake Odessa and give up active employment.

Mr. Tasker was a prominent member of the congregational church, having held official
positions in former years and was also a member of the Knights of Pythias when that
order was active here. He was a good citizen and a man respected by all who knew him.

He was the son of John and Mary Tasker, and one of a large family of brothers and
sisters. He was 58 years of age and always looked up on  as a man of good understanding,
ability and of good health.

The funeral was held at the Congregational church Tuesday afternoon. The pastor Rev.
George J. Start officiated.

Mr. Tasker leaves beside his widow who was before her marriage Miss Jennie Brake of
Campbell township, a daughter Mrs. Gwendolyn Redstrom and two grand daughters 
Frankie Jane and Jo Ann of Royal Oak. He also leaves four brothers, William, George,
Elmer and Walter, all of Odessa township; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Haynes of Cleveland,
O., Mrs. Edith Pearson of California, and Mrs. Emma Philips of Grand Rapids.
