OBITUARY Harriet Jan Walter, daughter of Christian and Malinda Walter, was born in Hancock county, Ohio, May 25, 1856, and passed away from this life September 9, 1931. When a young girl she moved with her parents into Campbell township and there resided until April 13, 1884 ,when she became the wife of John Tasker. Their married life was spent on their farm north of Lake Odessa until eight years ago when they moved to their very pleasant home on South Fourth avenue leaving their youngest son to conduct the affairs of the farm. Mrs. Tasker was a devoted wife and mother, giving her life and interests to the rearing of a fine family. Since moving to lake Odessa Mrs. Tasker has endeared herself to all her neighbors and acquired many new friends who will miss her greatly. Mrs. Tasker enjoyed good health until about one year ago when an operation was necessary, since which time her health has gradually failed. The best medical attention that could be secured was given her and her children did all that a devoted family could do for a kind and loving mother. Her husband preceded her into the great beyond by about two months. Those who are left to mourn her passing are, one daughter Mrs. Blanche Durkee; three sons, Alva, Roy and Clarence with their wives, and seven grandchildren; three sisters, and one brother, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends Card of Thanks Again we wish to thank the many friends and neighbors for their help and kindness in our great bereavement at the loss of our dear Mother, especially following so closely after our father's death. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Tasker, and Harold, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Tasker and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Durkee, and June, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Tasker, and family.
