Sentinel-Std.- Monday, March 5, 1962

LAKE ODESSA- Mrs. Ella Tasker, 96, lifelong resident of the local area, died 
about 6:45 p.m. Saturday at Maple Shade rest home in Lansing, where she had 
been a patient five months.

She was born May 26, 1865, the daughter of Isaac and Catherine Oaks Raymond, 
early settlers of Carlton township, Barry county.

April 1, 1889, she was married to William Tasker and lived on a farm 
southeast of Lake Odessa on Tischer road, more than 50 years. After Mrs. 
Tasker's death in 1941 she moved to the village.

Mrs. Tasker had been an invalid the past 16 years and was cared for at her 
home by her daughter, Mrs. Glenna Hines, until last October when her 
condition became worse and she was moved to the rest home in Lansing where 
she died.

A son, August, preceded her in death in 1951.

Surviving besides the daughter, Glenna now of Lansing, are a granddaughter, 
Mrs. Thala Hughes and three great-grandsons of Lansing.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Pickens funeral 
chapel in Lake Odessa with burial at Fuller cemetery in Carlton township. 
Rev. F.J. Fitch will officiate.
