January 27, 1972 ROBERT G.TASKER Robert G. Tasker, Palo postmaster, died unexpectedly at his home January 20. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Palo Baptist Church with Pastor William Redman of Grand Rapids officiating.Interment was at Palo Cemetery. Mr.Tasker, 54, was born March 12, 1917 in Palo. He was the son of George and Blanche Tasker. He was a member of Palo Masonic Lodge No. 203, Palo Eastern Star No. 204, Palo IOOF No 241, Palo Rebekahs No 389, Palo Citizens of Scouting, Palo Baptist church and a past member of Society for the Preservation and encouragement of barbershop quartet singing in America. He is survived by his wife Bertha E.' one daughter Suanne K., at home; two sons, Robert of Palo and Bruce N. of Carson City; his mother Mrs.Blanche Tasker of Palo; two sisters,Mrs.Lester (Catherine) Laskowsky of Lansing, Mrs.Donald (Esther) Davies of Van Nuys, California; two brothers Charles and Lawerence, both of Palo; and two grandchildren.
