The Ionia Stnadard, Friday, February 5, 1892
Mrs. Catharine Tasker died Wednesday of last week after a brief illness, age 
72.  Mrs. Tasker was a sister of Peter VanVleck and the mother of Robt. and 
Victor Tasker.  She had lived nearly her whole (life) in this vicinity and was 
noted for her devotion to her children and her church, and had a host of 
friends that were indeed sorry that she should be called away at this 
particular time.  Her husband died years ago.  She leaves two sons and one 
daughter, Mrs. John Baldie of Ionia, all of whom feel their loss most keenly 
especially Robert who will now have to break up house-keeping entirely the 
present.
