The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, July 27, 1961
George M. Tasker, 67, a lifelong resident of Palo, died Wednesday morning at 
Sheridan Community hospital.  Mr. Tasker was a farmer.  He also had operated a 
general store in Palo for several years and was mail carried on the Ionia – 
Palo Star route.  He was a member of First Baptist church of Palo.

In 1914 he was married to Blanche Buffum who survives.  Besides his wife, he 
is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lester Laskowsky of Lansing, and Mrs. 
Donald Davies of Van Nuys, California; four sons, Robert, Charles and Lawrence 
Tasker of Palo, and Victor of Ann Arbor; 21 grandchildren; a foster sister, 
Mrs. O. A. Braman of Palo.  A son, Norman, preceded him in death in 1942.

Funeral service will be held at the Fist Baptist church in Palo Saturday at 2 
p.m.  The Rev. Harvey Johnson will officiate and interment will be at Palo 
cemetery.  The body will repose at Stebbins funeral home in Sheridan until 
Friday noon when it will be removed to the residence in Palo.
