Mrs. Rose Tasker, 81, of Lake Odessa died Saturday at Pennock hospital in 
Hastings following an extended illness.  She had been hospitalized the past 
three weeks.  Born in Odessa township May of 1893, she was the daughter of 
Peter and Maggie Shroville Schnabel.  In 1912 she was married to Roy Tasker 
and they lived on a farm in Campbell township northwest of Lake Odessa.  Her 
husband died the summer of 1940.

She left the farm and moved into Lake Odessa in 1942.  She attended the 
Central United Methodist church and was a member of the Friendship club and 
the Jolly Dozen club.  

Surviving are a daughter, Phylis Sedore of Grand Ledge; two sons, Marshall and 
Malcolm of Lake Odessa; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Schwenter 
and Mrs. Geneva Keegan of Detroit.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops funeral 
chapel in Lake Odessa.  Rev. William Hertel will officiate and interment will 
be at Lakeside cemetery.
