He was admitted to the hospital about an hour and a half before his death but had been in ill health for the past ten years. Born May 27, 1887, in Odessa township, he was the son of John and Mary (Collier) Tasker, and was born on the farm on Jackson Road where he had lived his entire life. He married Nora Dell of Woodbury on February 6, 1907 and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with only a family gathering last February because of his health. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Kathleen) Jordan; one son, Louis of Grand Ledge; two granddaughters: one great granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle ValDays and Mrs. Edith Towner, both of Los Angeles, California. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with burial in Lakeside Cemetery. Rev. A. J. Pitman officiated.
