Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, December 30, 1980
Joseph Vernon Tauner, 92 of West Main St., died Monday morning at Belding 
Christian Nursing Home.  He was born July 2, 1888 in Allegan County, the son 
of William and Ellen Tauner.

He married Goldie McClow July 2, 1914 in St. Paul Minnesota where they lived 
until 1917 when they moved to Detroit.  The couple lived in Detroit until he 
retired as foreman of the Cadillac Motor Company in 1953 when they moved to 
Ionia.

The Tauners celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1964.  Mrs. Tauner 
preceded him in November 18, 1976.

Arrangements by Leddick Funeral Home.  Burial in Palo Cemetery.
