Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Friday, Nove 19, 1976
Goldie A. Tauner, 92, of 728 West Main Street, died Thursday evening at 
Belding Christian nursing home after being a patient there for the past five 
years.

She was born in Sidney November 15, 1884, the daughter of William and Anna 
Clapper McClow.  She lived on a farm near Sidney until July 2, 1914 when she 
married Joseph Tauner in St. Paul, Minnesota.

They made their home in St. Paul moving to Detroit in 1917 and moving to Ionia 
in 1953.

The celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1964.

Mrs. Tauner was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist church.

Survivors include her husband, one daughter, one sister, Mrs. Harvey (Leona) 
Gibson of Ionia, two granchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces 
and nephews.

Services are Monday at 1 pm at the Lincoln Avenue Baptist church with Rev. 
Jack Cook officiating.

Burial is in Palo cemetery.
